Title
RHSA-2022:6551 -- Red Hat Virtualization security update
Description
kernel: Small table perturb size in the TCP source port generation algorithm can lead to information leak.
dpdk: DoS when a Vhost header crosses more than two descriptors and exhausts all mbufs.
systemd-resolved: use-after-free when dealing with DnsStream in resolved-dns-stream.c.
kernel: a use-after-free in cls_route filter implementation may lead to privilege escalation.
rsync: remote arbitrary files write inside the directories of connecting peers.
kernel: a use-after-free write in the netfilter subsystem can lead to privilege escalation to root.
Family
unix
Platform
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8
Product

Id:
CVE-2022-1012
Reference:
http://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2022-1012
Comment
: A memory leak problem was found in the TCP source port generation algorithm in net/ipv4/tcp.c due to the small table perturb size. This flaw may allow an attacker to information leak and may cause a denial of service problem.

Comment
: A permissive list of allowed inputs flaw was found in DPDK. This issue allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service triggered by sending a crafted Vhost header to DPDK.

Id:
CVE-2022-2526
Reference:
http://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2022-2526
Comment
: A use-after-free vulnerability was found in systemd. This issue occurs due to the on_stream_io() function and dns_stream_complete() function in 'resolved-dns-stream.c' not incrementing the reference counting for the DnsStream object. Therefore, other functions and callbacks called can dereference the DNSStream object, causing the use-after-free when the reference is still used later.

: It was discovered that the cls_route filter implementation in the Linux kernel would not remove an old filter from the hashtable before freeing it if its handle had the value 0.

Id:
CVE-2022-29154
Reference:
http://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2022-29154
Comment
: An issue was discovered in rsync before 3.2.5 that allows malicious remote servers to write arbitrary files inside the directories of connecting peers. The server chooses which files/directories are sent to the client. However, the rsync client performs insufficient validation of file names. A malicious rsync server (or Man-in-The-Middle attacker) can overwrite arbitrary files in the rsync client target directory and subdirectories (for example, overwrite the .ssh/authorized_keys file).

Comment
: net/netfilter/nf_tables_api.c in the Linux kernel through 5.18.1 allows a local user (able to create user/net namespaces) to escalate privileges to root because an incorrect NFT_STATEFUL_EXPR check leads to a use-after-free.
